How do I top up my smart meter?

On the bus with your phone, at home on the sofa – or at the shops (if you fancy a walk). Up to you, really, with no-hassle-no-nonsense Smart PAYG+.

You get one smart payment card for both gas and electricity, so it’s really simple. And when you top up, your smart meters cleverly share the money. So you only have to think about one credit balance.

You can top up:

  • Online through My Boost.

  • With the Boost app.

  • By text message.

  • With your smart payment card at any PayPoint shop.

You need to register a bank, debit or credit card to your account if you want to use the app, My Boost or text message to top up. Just log into My Boost (not the app) to register a card for the first time.

To top up by text message, send 'TOPUP*' followed by the amount you want to top up to 66121. For example, ‘TOPUP*10’ to top up £10 credit. The money will come out of your registered bank, debit or credit card – not from your phone bill.

You can set up regular top-ups too. Each time you top up automatically, you'll get a confirmation text message or email, depending on what you chose.

To top up at PayPoint, you can pay by cash or card.
